Swedish students are awarded two pass grades: Pass (G), meaning that the exam score greater than or equal to 50 percent, but less than 75 percent, and Pass with distinction (VG), meaning that the exam score is greater than or equal to 75 percent). A grade of Fail (U) is awarded when the exam score is less than 50 percent (no credits earned). Students who have failed an examination will, in most cases, be allowed to take supplementary examinations.
Visiting students will in addition to Swedish grades also be awarded grades in accordance with the ECTS system, as shown below:
The ECTS Credits and Grading Scale:
60 credits = 1 full academic year
30 credits = 1 semester
20 credits = 1 trimester
